Stats Explained

Six stats describe your character’s body. Strength, Speed, Defense and Stamina are ranked in tiers. Power is worked out from them, and Intelligence has its own levels.

Strength

Your lifting strength: what you can lift over your head, from a coffee mug to a CAT 798 mining truck.

Speed

Covers two things:

  • Movement speed: how fast you move.
  • Reflexes: what you can and can’t react to.

Power

How hard you hit. Unlike the other stats it isn’t a tier, but a number:

Power = (Strength + Speed) ÷ 2

Use the Value of your Strength and Speed ranks, listed in the Phase tables.

Defense

How durable you are. Each Defense rank has a Value: the Power needed to hurt you.

Stamina

Every task uses Stamina, so manage it carefully. Run out, and bad things can and will happen. Skills cost Stamina too: see Stamina Costs.

Intelligence

How easily your character understands concepts. A higher level doesn’t make you a know-it-all, but it does make new ideas easier to grasp.

Intelligence Levels

Everyone starts at Average. You can trade your starting PTP to move up, or move down to gain PTP. Each step costs or gives 10 PTP.
