Spontaneous Human Combustion
S.H.C is the core mechanic of Fire Force. Someone suddenly bursts into flames for no reason. It happened in the Old World and has started again, though less often.
- It can happen to anyone, at any age.
- 90% mortality rate. Survive it and you become a First, Second or Third Generation.
- XO isn’t a natural S.H.C outcome (it’s Permission Based), and the Fourth only comes later through Adolla.

The Generations

Generation XO
Permission Based hybrids with the abilities of both Second and Third Generations: they can manipulate and generate fire, making them an immensely powerful breed.
They have no progression of their own. They follow the Second and Third Generation paths at the same time.
