Tephrosis

Tephrosis (the Ignition Limit) is a chronic illness that hits Third Generations who push past their oxygen limit, so their body becomes the fuel. It won’t kill you, but it cripples you.

Permanent

It starts when your oxygen goes into the negatives, usually from carelessness. Once it starts, there’s no stopping or curing it. It lasts until you die.

1. Initial Overheat 2 RPs

   You don’t even notice: your abilities are quietly burning your flesh for fuel. No debuffs, and you can keep fighting normally.

2. Charring 5 RPs

   Painful, permanent charring appears where your ability manifests most.

   • Physical stats −8 Sub-Tiers
   • Pyrokinetic Power −4 levels

3. End Stage Until death

   Using Pyrokinetics is nearly impossible without immense pain, and you need a caretaker to soothe your burns.

   • Reduced to the Human Phase of the S.T.S
   • Pyrokinetic Power drops to Level 2
   • Permanent

Unique Stage: Adaptation

Requires the Body of Adaptation trait. After an undefined time in the End Stage, extreme charring forms where your ability manifests, and your Pyrokinetics turn into smoke instead of fire. All debuffs are removed, and you can now use a Tephrosis-based ability.
