- Grade 4 Curse Essence
Components are the raw materials of crafting. You get them by completing events and quests, and sometimes you find them at random. The higher the tier, the rarer the component and the better the items it goes into.
Curse Essence is the exception: it can only be carried in a Residue Containment Unit.

Each one has a unique requirement to get it. See below.
Mythic components are hard to get, but the best items need them. Each one is obtained its own way.
The Singularity Event stretches forever, forwards and backwards through time. It was always happening and it never stops. Because of this paradox, a small piece of its energy very rarely breaks loose.
You can only get Singularity Residue during an Unstable Energy Event, and you need a Residue Containment Unit to hold it.
A drive with near limitless storage. Nobody knows how it does it. Echo Drives come from quests for Fixers, and they’re rare and highly valuable.
It is rumoured that an Echo Drive can store the consciousness of a person…
A crystal holding a piece of the Speed Force, an extra-dimensional source of energy. It’s used in recipes for certain Speed Force items.
Only a speedster who can enter and exit the Speed Force can get one, and even then there’s only a small chance the energy calcifies. If it does, the crystal appears where the speedster last exited the Speed Force.
Chronon energy that has hardened into a shell around itself, like Calcified Speed Force. It packs enough energy to annihilate a massive area.
It’s arguably the most difficult component to get: you need an abundant source of Chronons and a unique machine to harden the particle.
Only dropped by killing a Special Grade Curse. It decays extremely fast, so it has to be extracted quickly into a Residue Containment Unit.
