Kakuja

A Kakuja (赫者, “red one”) is an extremely rare Ghoul whose Kagune mutates into armor around the body. Because the mutation varies so much, Kakuja are the most dangerous and unpredictable Ghouls on the Mainland.

Mutated Rc Cells

Kakuja come from repeatedly eating other Ghouls. When you eat a Ghoul:

1. You gain half their Rc (see Feeding).
2. Half of that becomes Mutated Rc (M-Rc) in your kakuhou.

Example: eat a Ghoul with 800 Rc and you gain 400 Rc, of which 200 is M-Rc.

Caution

M-Rc can still be spent on your Kagune, so be careful not to burn through it.

Stages

Incomplete Kakuja

500 M-Rc

Your Kagune loses its type and becomes a partial Kakuja, usually covering part of the body.

Deployed: +10 Sub-Tiers to Strength, Speed, Defense and Stamina.

Insanity

You lose all reason and attack everything in your path, unless you have the Ghoulish Affinity trait.

Complete Kakuja

1,000 M-Rc

A full Kakuja shaped by your psyche: anything from full armor to a giant centipede. An unstoppable monster.

Deployed: +20 Sub-Tiers to Strength, Speed, Defense and Stamina.
