Kagunes
A Kagune (赫子, “red child”) is a Ghoul’s predatory organ, used for offense and defense. Deploying it boosts you and creates a weapon made of Rc Cells.
Rc costs
Deploying costs Rc. Retract it intact and you get that Rc back. You only lose Rc if it’s severed and you have to regenerate it.

Boosts are in Sub-Tiers.
Feather-like wings from the shoulders. Very light: boosts your speed. Weak at melee, but fires high-speed projectiles that move with your speed.
Hardening: its Defense starts at your Defense, and each extra Defense Sub-Tier costs +50 Rc, so you can deflect attacks.
From the shoulder blade. The densest Kagune. It reshapes into shields that absorb damage, or sharp weapons.
- Shield Defense: 10B. If your own Defense beats 10B, it adds +4 Sub-Tiers on top instead.
- Heavy: the slowest type, and you need 9A Strength to lift it.
A tail from the tailbone. The balanced type, for close and mid-range.

New since the Singularity. It comes from the tailbone like Bikaku, but wraps around the legs, evolved to outrun super-speed investigators. Ashiaku Ghouls catch prey and escape the CCG with ease.
Tentacles from behind the waist. One of the most powerful types and great at offense. Some users form claws or blades. Starts with 4+ tentacles, and more grow with enough Rc.
- Regen discount: −50 Rc per tendril (only 2 Rc if you’re below 50 Rc)
- Strong vs Koukaku, weak vs Bikaku (it can sever tendrils easily)
The Ashiaku’s “sister,” new since the Singularity. It evolved in Ghouls who survived super-strong CCG investigators. Forms around the arms from the forearms.
Massively boosts lifting strength: hurl huge objects to stop or kill pursuers and prey.
Very rare. Can appear in the children of two Ghouls, combining both parents’ benefits.
Cost (deploy and regen): (mother’s cost + father’s cost) ÷ 2, +200.
