Relations
Every family has a standing with the other families. The owner sets it, and it tells members how to treat people from that family.
Standings
| Standing | What it means |
|---|---|
| Allies | Close partners. Allies often get access other outsiders don’t |
| Friendly | On good terms. Expect protection and help |
| Neutral | No strong feelings either way |
| Uneasy | Tense. Members keep their distance |
| Hostile | Openly against each other |
| Mortal Enemies | No talks, no peace |
Each family decides what its standings mean in practice. For example, the Brando Clan lets Allies into the lobby of its High-rises.
Improving a Standing
Any family can ask for a diplomatic meeting to improve its standing with another family. The one exception is Mortal Enemies: they won’t meet, so don’t let it get that far.
Sister Families
A sister family has a bond so strong that both are considered family. They’re often related by blood or history, and members of a sister family are usually under the other family’s protection.
